The Virginia Maritime Association (VMA) is the industry’s watchdog and advocate on policy, regulatory and legislative actions at the local, state and federal levels; affecting a pro-business environment for our ports and the maritime industry. Membership in VMA gives your business a voice in the political and public arena decisions that impact the business environment and your company.

Standard Membership Levels-- include one (1) designated representative. The VMA Membership Committee will determine annual dues based industry category. Additional representation is available for $260 per additional representative.
Vessel or Marine Terminal Operations • Moving Cargo or Maritime Related Service • Affiliated Business • Non-Profit
Future Leader -- The purpose of the Future Leaders Program is: Career Development, Industry Education and Networking. VMA has nearly a 100 year history of successful collaboration through its diverse committee structure. This program provides VMA Future Leaders (ages 40 and under), the opportunity to gain the knowledge of past and future needs of collaboration and advocacy, while networking with their generation of colleagues. Member organizations are invited to utilize this discounted membership category for two years per Future Leader. Primary representatives may also participate in the Future Leaders program at no additional fee.

Anchor Memberships are available to any member company wishing to enhance its support of VMA’s efforts to protect the interests of Virginia’s maritime industry and commercial ports.
Membership applications are approved monthly by the Board of Directors. Once approved, member representatives receive their username and password. Payment for approved membership can be paid by credit card or by check.
